I am not even sure if I will be updating this on a regular basis, but it is a thought I had last night, so I'm going to give it a try and see what happens (if anything).
In a nutshell... I've started reading the Bible (again). As I read these words, I find myself often confused. The reasons for confusion are many... I either don't understand the words themselves, I'm ignorant of previous biblical references, or it seems like "doublespeak" to me.
So I thought... I should start keeping a list or a log of the questions that I have. Then I thought... Maybe I could turn it into a blog, and therefore get people who are more knowledgeable than myself to hopefully answer my questions (and MAYBE even help others with similar questions).
I also realize this could be a nightmare... The Bible is interpretted many different ways by many different people. Many people believe certain things, and when you question them on something, they feel it is a personal attack on their belief. I've seen many bible conversations turn nasty real quick, with name calling on both sides. I DON'T want this to happen here.
I will monitor all comments, and only post those that I feel are helpful to me. If you call me names, I will not post your comments. If you call other people names I will not post your comments. Bottom line... BE NICE!!!
Lets see what happens with this blog...

EDIT:
I should also state...
1) I mean no offense to anyone no matter what their religious beliefs are. That being said, I may say something that may anger you - it is not intentional.
2) I will not accept "pat answers" here. For example: Why is the sky blue? Answer: Because God made it that way.
3) I would feel horrible if one of my questions led to a weakening of another's faith. IF you are not ready for tough questions, you should not read this blog. (hopefully these questions will be easy, but I doubt it).
4) I HOPE every answer can be rooted to a Biblical reference. If you are quoting another prophet, religious leader, church elder, etc... please know that I don't mean disrespect if I disagree with that person.
5) I'll leave this spot open for any additional "rules or guidelines" :)
6) Whew - Glad I left this open ended...
7) PLEASE try to keep your answers as short as possible and to the point. Avoid bringing in tons of references. References are GREAT, but too many of them can lead to other questions.
